Refingere

Refingere is Latin for “to reshape” - to take something that already exists and form it anew. That is what this project is about.

The tools we use to think, learn, find out what's true and show who we are were mostly shaped long ago, one at a time, and they don't fit together. Refingere reshapes them as one family of projects that share the same ideas and work with each other.

The projects

Modeling → Reshaping how we lay out ideas - a workshop where anything becomes a connected map. Language → Reshaping how we write instructions for computers - clear to read, hard to get wrong. Wiki → Reshaping how we learn - aiming for real understanding, not just facts. Science → Reshaping how we find out what's true - together, openly, across the whole world. Id → Reshaping how we show who we are - one trusted record of you, for every project.
